Mainstream Living Center LLC is a certified Home & Community Based provider with The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS). We are dedicated to providing community residential services to individuals with developmental disabilities by fostering personal growth and independence, respecting the rights and dignity of each individual, and treating them the way we would want to be treated.

A Dedication to Our Community

The home and community based (HCS) program is a Medicaid-funded program administered by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS). The program offers a community-based alternative to institution-based programs.

The primary goal of the program is to provide individuals with mental retardation or developmental disabilities the choice to live in the community and to experience challenges and opportunities that promote and fulfill their lives. Eligibility to the program is determined by criteria established by state and federal rules. Individuals with mental retardation or related conditions who meet Medicaid or SSI eligibility criteria and individuals coming out of State Schools of Mental Retardation are eligible to apply.

Our Commitment

We are committed to ensure that each individual we serve has access to these support services to meet theirs needs, hopes, desires, and dreams. We seek to provide a stimulating life for all of our program participants and actively encourage participation in field trips, social events, shopping, and community activities on a regular basis. We are committed in having trained staff to address the specific needs of each individual.

To achieve this goal, we periodically provide in-service training, workshops, and seminars for our staff. Services provided to each individual are carefully planned by the IDT, which consists of the individual, the legal representative, family members, the individual’s case manager, a staff member, and other professional service providers.

Prior to making your selection of a provider, we welcome you to visit with us to learn who we are, tour our homes, and meet some of our staff.
