Michael Harris, a 10 year employee of IKEA, visited The HOP today to share his career with the consumers and staff.
Mr. Harris gave great, informative information on how IKEA began up to the present. Mr. Harris educated the consumers and staff on the founder of IKEA, Ingvar Kamprad. He also educated consumers and staff on how the IKEA name came about. IKEA name came from the first letters of his first and last name, Ingvar Kamprad, along with the first letters of the farm he was raised on Elmtaryd and the small village of Agunnaryd in Sweden where the farm was located.
